As part of its Careers video series, the Association des firmes de génie-conseil – Québec (AFG) followed one of our multidisciplinary teams to present the type of work Avizo does to measure flow in watercourses and municipal sanitary and storm sewer systems.

What is the AFG and the Career Series?

The Association des firmes de génie-conseil – Québec represents consulting engineering firms throughout Quebec and acts as the voice of this industry and its specialized services in the construction and environmental sectors since 1974. Its mission is to nurture, develop and promote Quebec consulting engineering.

Its Career Series aims to showcase the many career possibilities in consulting engineering and to demonstrate that there is no single profile for working in the field. The series allows us to accompany professionals from the field on one of their projects to present their work and explain their role as consultants.

A collaboration with Avizo

As a member of the AFG, we were approached by them to take part in the Careers video series. Given the opportunity to showcase the field of consulting engineering, we chose to shine the spotlight on a lesser-known specialization: flow measurement. It’s the perfect field of expertise for those who like to be in the thick of things, work with their hands and get things done.
